0001: P.T. Grimm – The Exile [2011]

These motherfuckers… Lemme tell ya, one of my most consistent honors has been that I know and have worked with these guys. Great bunch of people with phenomenal senses of humor, not to mention spectacular artists. These guys stand in a class of their own, but I’d recommend them to any fans of System of a Down, Serj Tankian’s solo work, Scars on Broadway, etc. They once called their music “junk rock,” among several other creative phrases. There are a lot of fascinating keyboard melodies that lead the often brutal riffs and drums, along with Michael H.’s unique vocal style and vastly intriguing lyrics. I heard the album played live back in ’06 and even though it took a while to come out, it was well worth the wait in my opinion. Michael’s a perfectionist, which is apparent by the results he gets. P.T. Grimm was and still very much is a shining gem in a world of shit, but you know, don’t take my word for it. Click the image above and/or watch the video clip below and take a listen to some samples of their latest album. I also greatly encourage you to buy the download, because these guys could certainly use the support.
